A photo scavenger hunt - Get them searching high and low around the house for certain items. This is a great way to teach them colours and letters without realising they’re learning. You can download an Indoor Scavenger Hunt List Here.
A photo a day challenge - Get them to tell you why they chose to photograph what they did each day.
Every now and then I put out a ‘Model Call’, which is where I ask if anyone would like to bring their baby in for a free shoot with a few free images included.
I then use that photo shoot to practice posing, try a new set-up, get marketing images etc.

She’s the perfect example that it is never too late for newborn photos.
Read MoreI absolutely LOVE Milestone Mini Photo Shoots.
They are specially designed for babies between 6 and 9 months to capture their latest milestones, whether that’s impressive tummy time skills or super, solid sitting. Read MoreWhite Balancing is when you tell your camera what white is. Different light sources have different colour temperatures and although your camera will generally do a good job of working it out itself, sometimes it needs a little help.
Read MoreWhen you look through your view finder you should be able to see some dots on the screen. The amount of dots varies from camera to camera. When you press the shutter button half way down, one will turn red - that is where your camera is going to focus.

Read MoreThe shutter speed is the amount of time between the camera shutter opening and closing. The longer the shutter is open the higher the chance the image will be blurry, from either you shaking or your subject moving.
Read MoreThe ISO controls how sensitive your camera is to light. The lowest number and the least sensitive to light most cameras can be at is 100.

She decided that to start with she wanted to be very awake! Her eye contact is amazing and I love that little hand reaching her to her mum’s cheek.
