Professional Baby Photos Hemel Hempstead | Alice
/I was so excited when this family got in touch to let me know they were expecting another baby and wanted to book me for their baby photos. I’d done two newborn photo shoots for them before, which makes little Alice here my first ever third sibling!
They told me from the start that they wanted their newborn photos to be all about Alice. Not everyone wants family photos and that’s fine. I love doing family photos but I completely understand that they’re not for everyone - specially just a few days after giving birth!
We started off with prop photos, with Alice wrapped up snug in this comfy, thick, brown wrap. The inside of the crate is lined with lots of towels and and then soft, brown wool is placed on top. It’s pretty much an incredibly comfy bed!
Sometimes, when I first lay a baby down I like to take a photo of them however they naturally lay, which is usually just like Alice here. One reason is that the simple, unposed images are just as gorgeous but also it’s nice to know if they wake up straight away, at least I have one sleeping image!
Moving her from her back to her side, Alice kept sleeping soundly. This pink headband is one of my oldest and has been a firm favourite of my clients from the get go.
Well I just had to capture those gorgeous little toes!
Oh Alice, you adorable little thing. I could squidge those cheeks for days!
I swear I yawn every time I look at this image! She was just starting to stir a little and decide whether it was time to wake up or not.
She gave me a suspicious look and flashed a little smile before deciding that actually maybe it wasn’t quite time to wake up yet.
Images on a white fluffy blanket are so beautifully simple. They leave all the focus on the baby and look so comfortable.
Nothing says gorgeous black and white like back lit image full of texture.
