Creative Newborn Photos | Hemel Hempstead | Rocco
/I absolutely love Rocco’s Newborn Photos.
The gorgeous greys (my favourite colour), lovely parents and adorable little boy all came together to make the most adorable images.
When Rocco and his family came for his Newborn Photos I’d recently purchased this dark grey backdrop and I LOVE it. I generally photograph family images on a white or cream coloured backdrop and so adding in a new colour gives parents another lovely choice.
Rocco wrapped up so tiny and looks so small in his parent’s arms. He even flashed us a little smile as he drifted off to sleep.
After the family photos I kept him wrapped and moved him between a grey fluffy blanket, crate and then a bowl. He woke up a little to start but soon drifted off to sleep again.
I found it really funny that he liked to intertwine his fingers. I’d try and untangle them but he really liked them like this. When I mentioned it to his mum and dad it turns out it’s something he did all the time at home as well.
Teeny, tiny fingers and toes.
When I unwrapped him, Rocco woke up for a bit and had a little look around. With a bit of settling and a few cuddles, he soon drifted off to sleep again and the positioning could begin.
I gently moved him from his side to his tummy, adding in wraps to add a bit of colour and to get his mum and dad a nice variety of images to choose from.
From the cream, I moved him onto this lovely dark grey backdrop and matched it with a dark grey wrap. He was so comfy on his back with his legs curled up.
I love finishing a newborn shoot on this lovely, white, fluffy blanket. It’s nice and simple and leaves all the focus on the baby. Sometimes babies wake up by this point, which is absolutely fine, but Rocco kept sleeping meaning I could get some detail photos as well.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and your family Rocco. Thank you very much for choosing me as your photographer. I hope I get to photograph you again in the future!
