Newborn Boy Portraits Hemel Hempstead | George
/I first met George’s family back in 2016 when I photographed their first baby, Thomas. I then had the pleasure of photographing them again at their house in Hemel Hempstead when he was 6 months and in the Bluebells at Greenwood Park in St. Albans when he turned one.
I was so excited when they got in touch to let me know that they were expecting baby number two and in a flash he had arrived and it was his turn for a newborn photo shoot.
As always, we started with family and sibling photos. That way you can just relax afterwards and you don’t need to worry about keeping siblings clean!
Yes, that’s right - this is Thomas, the little baby I photographed in 2016 who is now a little cheeky boy! He had to of course have his moment in the spotlight while waiting for his little brother. Just look at that grin!
He is a very loving big brother and so well behaved.
Next it was George’s time to shine and to start, I set up a crate and bowl on a dark wooden floor. I love this little white outfit so much - he looked adorable in it.
I remembered taking a photo of Thomas with this little doggy so I of course had to get one with George as well.
He was such a good sleeper through this part of the shoot. He slept soundly on his side and carried on snoozing away comfortably on his tummy.
Newborns really do pull the funniest faces when they’re awake and when I get an especially good one I can’t help but include it in the parents gallery!

All these tiny things that stay small for such a short amount of time.
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph you George and I can’t wait to see how much you’ve grown at your 6 month photo shoot, which will be here before we know it!
