Hannah's Newborn Baby Photo Shoot - Milton Keynes
/I first met Hannah’s family many years ago when I photographed her big brother as a newborn.
When they got back in touch and told me they were expecting his little sister I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to see them all again.
We started off Hannah’s newborn baby photo shoot with a few photos with her big brother. Depending on the age of the sibling, I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to get gorgeous photos together. Some are old enough to hold the baby, other’s can lay next to them and others like to keep a bit of distance. I always stay very patient with them (their life has just changed dramatically after all!) and do whatever they’re comfortable with.
This white fluffy blanket, wrap and bear hat are always a winning combination at newborn baby photo shoots. They’re incredibly cute and yet it’s nice and simple and leaves all the focus on Hannah’s gorgeous little face.
After being awake to start with, she soon drifted off to sleep and the gentle positioning could begin. I changed out wraps and backdrop blankets to make sure her family got a lovely variety of photos to choose from.
These little details are so important to capture. They stay small for such a short amount of time so I make sure I include them in all my newborn photo shoot galleries.
I love it when families bring toys from home to include in their photo shoot. Hannah’s family brought this adorable little monkey, which I tucked up in bed with her and she let out the biggest yawn at the perfect moment.
It was really lovely meet you and see your lovely family again Hannah. Thank you for being a great sleepy, newborn model. I hope you love your images.
