Baby Photography Hemel Hempstead | Scarlett Turns 1
Just over a year ago I met Scarlett, a teeny tiny little newborn girl in Hemel Hempstead.
At only a few days old, she was a gorgeous little newborn model and I spent a few hours with her and her family getting a mixture of sleepy posed photos and more relaxed family photos.
Their conservatory was full of the most gorgeous natural light and was the perfect spot for cuddles and sleepy warmth.
At 6 months, her adventures were really beginning.
She was travelling the world with her mum to see her New Zealand family while discovering all those amazing things - like feet!
At this photo shoot I remember that she was so close to being able to sit by herself.
Recently Scarlett turned 1, which meant it was time to head back for her last photo shoot.
It's lovely not only seeing the babies grow over time, but the families as well. The conservatory that I photographed her in as a newborn now has double the toys and is a place to play.
I also can't believe how much her big brother has grown up! The way he talks and acts has changed so much over the last year.
Although Scarlett has done a lot of growing, she's still a tiny little thing that can fit into 6-9month old clothes! It makes a big change not to have to brace myself every time I pick a 1 year old up!
Sitting is of course the easiest thing ever now and the new adventure is learning how to walk.
She adores her little red kitchen; putting things in cupboards and pots, and passing my pieces of food, which I of course had to give straight back!
As with all 1 year olds, Scarlett has a great sense of adventure and a complete lack of sense of danger!!
That's why I love photographing babies on beds. With a parent guarding the sides and me the end, they can throw themselves around, ready to be caught by the nearest adult!
Beds are also the perfect spot for reading and family cuddles.
To finish the session we headed outside for fun, walking practice and of course bubbles!
